Position Overview
NPI Sample Maker is important role within the CG new style development team. Sew entire garment from beginning to end. Creates copies of final prototypes of new designs, applying any required design changes to achieve desired outcome, size samples and reference samples with the focus on most efficient manufacturability of the new style.
What You'll Do
Sew entire garments from beginning to end of new development, applying any required design changes to achieve desired outcome. Working together with the Product Integration team and QA from Sample Room to properly introduce the new style to Bulk Production minimizing risks, optimizing processes, reducing SAMs and capturing videos on the best sewing method for future reference to proactively working on any production challenge. Ability and experience to use various industrial machines such as single needle, double needle, AMS, PS800, serger, binding, bar tack, seam sealing, snaps, and eyelets machines. Product quality inspection and evaluation. Trainable to use other machines and technology, and other operations, if necessary. Make sure the area is clean & safe.
Let's Talk About You
Experience in sample sewing outwear from start to finish. Excellent understanding of garment constructions, measurements, reading BOM and technical garment specifications. At least 5 years of experience in clothing manufacturing. English reading & writing. Problem solving skills. Verbal and written communication skills required to work in conjunction with NPI team, Industrial Engineers, Mechanic, Supervisor, to communicate sewing construction and pattern details. Experience as a Sample Sewer.
