As the Warranty and Goodwill Manager, you’ll be responsible for developing and embedding a consistent national Warranty & Goodwill framework, leading team performance, and managing strong relationships with Caterpillar and internal stakeholders. For this position, the expected salary range is between $110,000 and $130,000 annually. Please note that the actual salary offer will be based on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, and fit for the role.

Job Description:

  • Develop, maintain, and implement a cohesive Warranty & Goodwill strategy for Finning Canada, ensuring consistent processes and standards across all business units, including OEM partners.
  • Build strong, well-documented goodwill cases on behalf of all facilities and represent Finning in negotiation processes with Caterpillar partners.
  • Lead direct and indirect team members through coaching, mentoring, performance planning, recruitment, and ongoing development to build an engaged and innovative workforce.
  • Establish clear expectations and a performance-based culture focused on continuous improvement and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Deliver stakeholder training, communications, and performance tracking to support warranty and goodwill compliance.
  • Facilitate regular collaboration meetings with internal and external stakeholders, including Caterpillar, vendors, and cross-functional departments.
  • Oversee business planning, operational improvements, and the financial performance of the Warranty & Goodwill programs across Finning West and Finning Saskatchewan.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for enhanced processes, efficiency, and program effectiveness.

Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Review, prepare, and support negotiation of goodwill cases with Caterpillar and other partners.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to Warranty & Goodwill team members.
  • Monitor program performance metrics and support continuous process improvement.
  • Conduct stakeholder meetings and provide updates, training, and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve warranty-related issues and ensure consistent application of standards.

Requirements:

  • Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician, Mechanical Engineering certification or post‑secondary education in Business Management or a related discipline is an asset.
  • 10+ years of experience in the service industry, including supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Advanced technical understanding of Caterpillar product lines and strong knowledge of Caterpillar warranty and goodwill practices.
  • Strong project management, communication, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to influence, mentor, and guide teams in warranty and goodwill compliance.
  • Ability to analyze complex business scenarios and make sound decisions.
  • Skilled in collaboration, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Electrical certification is considered an asset.

  • This position is based out of our Surrey branch location.
  • Permanent, full‑time role.
  • Monday – Friday, 5x2 schedule.
