Position: Food, Beverage, and Hospitality Assistant (CSJ 2026)
Position Type: Full-Time, Contract, In-person
Duration: 8 weeks
Compensation: $17.60 hourly
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week
Reports to: Food, Beverage & Hospitality Service Manager

Position Summary:
Responsible for providing quality experience in the restaurant and customer service to all patrons.

Responsibilities:

  • Participates in promoting events

  • Performs dining room service greets and seats clients, take orders, serves food and beverages etc.

  • Sanitizes and sets up tables, keep tables and work area clean

  • Provide efficient and courteous service

Education:

  • Pursing or Completed education in Food and Hospitality Services.

Skills & Experience:

  • Work or volunteer experience in Food Beverage & Hospitality environment.

  • Good interpersonal, customer service and communication skills

  • Ability to work as part of a multi-cultural team and under high pressure

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Internet, social media etc.

Other:

  • Vulnerable Sector screening required

  • Food Handlers Certificate.

Requirements:
To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment

  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment. Please note that international students are not eligible to apply.

  • Have a Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be entitled to work in Canada in accordance with provincial legislation and regulations.
