Job Requirements
- A valid license and car are required
RECE in Good Standing
Immunizations *current
Police Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
Safe Food Handling *asset
3-5 years experience with ages Infant to School Age
Understand and able to apply CCEYA, "How Does Learning Happen?" and "On My Way" documents to daily operations
Knowledge and understanding of Public Health expectations and requirements
Job Description The Quality and Licensing Specialist works with each centre supervisor to ensure compliance and quality.
The Quality and Licensing Specialist is responsible for ensuring all Ministry of Education updates and requirements (CCEYA) as it relates to child care are communicated to all supervisors.
The Quality and Licensing Specialist is responsible to ensure that Way To Grow Daycare is in compliance with our commitment to our community partners.
Tasks Are But Not Limited To
- Conduct regular quality visits to each site
- Role is to train and mentor each supervisor to ensure their success
- Support each supervisor in establishing and maintaining host site relations
- Support supervisors in ensuring the compliance and understanding of Way To Grow Daycare Policies and procedures
- Ensure all health and safety concerns are reported and repaired as necessary
- Attend each site when Ministry is present
- Twice per year complete the Ministry checklist on each program to ensure that each program is in compliance and there are no over-sights **once per year for School Age Programs (Jan/Feb)
- Assist supervisors in ensuring compliance after a licensing visit
- Ensure all Director Approval conditions are followed, completed and documented
- Ensure that Behaviour Monitoring is completed on all staff as per Way To Grow Daycare policy
- Complete ITERS/ECERS/SACERS when required including scoring and developing an action plan. When required ensure the Action Plan is followed, completed and documented.
- Professional Development will be encouraged for all staff
- Support the Inclusion Resource Service Model (IRSM)
