We’re looking for a Woodlands Accounting Supervisor to join our team in Williams Lake or Lumby, British Columbia . We are dedicated to sustaining these operations and the forest for the benefit of all who live and work there.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • CPA designation or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coordinate, and develop diverse administrative teams.
  • Excellent c ommunication skills and the ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders .
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills , with the ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
  • Experience in contract payroll , and financial reporting .
  • Drive to contribute to business objectives and proactively support the division’s success.
  • Knowledge of the forest industry—particularly woodlands—strongly preferred.

In this role, you will:

  • Coordinate the activities of the Woodlands Shared Services finance team, ensuring company policies and procedures are followed and accuracy is achieved.
  • Oversee the preparation of woodlands contractor pay, stumpage payments and other key financial information while leveraging systems and technology for timely results.
  • Coordinate monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
  • Support and advise on scaling, computer information processing at weigh scales, and log inventory data compilation and statistical analysis.
  • Balance and reconcile Stumpage and Timber Dues to the Provinces in which Tolko operates.
  • Provide financial information and accounting analysis to the Woodlands Operational staff, Operational Controllers, Sector Management and others.
  • Coordinate requirements and gathering of information for internal and external auditors.
  • Assist in the recruitment of direct report positions.
  • Build and develop diverse teams and foster an inclusive culture.
