- Produce clear and detailed technical documentation (design reports, specifications, cost estimates, etc.) that supports high-quality tender packages.
- Coordinate efficiently with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders to keep projects on schedule and within scope.
- Contribute to winning work by supporting proposals, schedules, and fee estimates that align with project goals and client needs.
- Support construction delivery through involvement in contract administration, resolving issues quickly to minimize delays.
- Demonstrate initiative in staying current on design standards, regulations, and technical tools — sharing knowledge and mentoring where appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead or support the production of engineering designs and drawings for linear infrastructure projects (roads, storm, sanitary, and watermain).
- Perform preliminary and detailed designs aligned with current municipal and provincial standards.
- Prepare thorough technical reports, tender documents, and cost estimates
- Engage in project planning, including scoping, work plan creation, and fee development.
- Participate in client meetings, site visits, and construction phase services.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align technical outputs with project objectives.
- Remain engaged in continuous learning and represent Burnside at industry events and conferences.
