POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Manager, Organizational Development, the Organizational Development Consultant is responsible for planning and supporting initiatives that foster organizational growth, employee engagement, and an inclusive workplace culture. This role leads and supports a range of activities including onboarding, learning and development, team and leadership development, performance, recognition programs, and change management. The Consultant also plans and facilitates Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives such as educational sessions, cultural celebrations, policy reviews, and health equity efforts. Acting as an internal consultant, the incumbent partners with leaders across the organization to address organizational development and DEI-related challenges and opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan organizational development activities such as onboarding, learning, team development, recognition events and programs, performance, change, leadership development and organizational effectiveness.
  • Plan Diversity, Equity and Inclusion activities such as learning, celebrations, policy review or health equity.
  • Act as an internal consultant for organizational development and DEI related challenges and opportunities.
  • Provide assistance to leaders related to Organizational Development and DEI programs.
  • Identify and participate in quality improvement initiatives applying a diversity lens.
  • Conduct research, data collection and analysis on a variety of OD and DEI related topics to improve decision making.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of post-graduate degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in DEIB, organizational behaviour, human resources, change management, adult education, or organizational development.
  • Minimum 3 years as an internal consultant.
  • Ability to conduct research analysis and condense complex information into succinct reports or briefing notes/proposals.
  • Ability to conduct effective stakeholder engagement
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Power Point, Teams, advanced Excel and Outlook)
