About the role
Who you are
- Hold a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Possess a CPA designation or equivalent
- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, ideally in a publicly traded company
- Demonstrate experience in group consolidations within a global, multi-currency environment
- Show familiarity with IFRS and US GAAP, which is considered a plus
- Exhibit proficiency in accounting software, such as Oracle, and Microsoft Excel
- Display excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy
What the job involves
- As a Senior Accountant, you will be at the centre of our global finance operations, driving group consolidation processes and ensuring the accuracy of our financial results across multiple entities and currencies
- You will be responsible for overseeing global intercompany transactions and reconciliations, creating reporting packages for management, and supporting other key reporting needs
- You will report directly to the Director of Statutory Reporting as part of a wider Finance team
- Leading the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation of multiple international entities
- Reviewing and posting IFRS month-end journals for multiple entities, with supporting documentation
- Assisting with quarterly reviews and annual audits of the consolidated group
- Collaborating with the Director of Regulatory Reporting and Compliance team for accurate regulatory filings
- Developing and maintaining routines for intercompany activities, including balance reconciliation and settlement
- Operating in a rigorous internal controls environment and identifying process improvement opportunities
- Assisting with internal audits and participating in cross-training and ad-hoc tasks as required
