What It Takes

Requirements for the role are:

a minimum of 3 years as a faculty member in the Faculty of Science & Technology experience with scheduling in the context of the College matrix a solid understanding of the Associate of Science credential and its requirements effective interpersonal skills, initiative and creativity ability to problem-solve, collaborate and contribute effectively to team activities demonstrated ability to be a self-starter and to work independently on projects strong verbal and written communication skills

Primary function: Reporting to the Dean of the Faculty of Science & Technology, the S&T Scheduling and Associate of Science (AS) Advising Coordinator supports and promotes the AS program streams.

The Job Duties And Tasks Include

Participate in the recruitment of students into the AS programs. Provide content for the College website, information booklet(s), the AS website and other advertising materials. Respond to AS program enquiries from students, and generally help to ensure successful program completion and transfer; refer students to appropriate Department Chairs for discipline-specific AS enquiries. Collect and evaluate information on progress of AS program students. Liaise with other post-secondary institutions to maintain and improve transfer arrangements. Coordinate scheduling of courses across all Science & Technology departments, to minimize scheduling conflicts, optimize enrolments, and support timely completion of the AS credential. Support coordination and planning of S&T outreach activities to promote AS programs. Prepare the annual review for the AS program. Work with the Dean and Chairs to identify and develop interdisciplinary AS degree programs.

Additional Information

This limited-term faculty coordinator position will run from August 1, 2026 to July 31, 2027, with possible extension to July 31, 2029. The position carries a two-section time release for the 2026/2027 academic year.
