Continuing part-time Nle’kepmxcin (Thompson) Language Instructor, beginning

September 1, 2026.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Be a speaker of the Nłeʔkepmxcin Language.

Possess a First Nations Language teacher certificate for Nłeʔkepmxcin,

or be eligible for this certificate.

Knowledge and understanding of Nłeʔkepmx and/or Syilx culture.

Training and experience working with grade-level students.

Experience with adapting materials, resources, assessments, and

learning outcomes for student needs.

Valid BC Teaching certificate or eligible for Letter of

Permission.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A commitment to supporting a variety of learning needs.

Experience/training in supporting the social-emotional learning

needs of students.

A commitment to establishing and maintaining positive

relationships with students, staff and parents.

A commitment to working as a member of a school team in support of

students.

qualifications to increase the number of Indigenous staff to be more

representative of the learners we serve.

The starting annual salary for this full-time teacher

position ranges from $64,664 - $112,806,

with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in

accordance with the collective agreement.
