Sturgeon Public Schools is currently seeking a Part-Time Temporary Teacher for a Grade 3/4 split class at Guthrie School.
Located on CFB Edmonton Garrison military base, Guthrie School is just minutes north of Edmonton and St. Albert. The school serves approximately 300 students from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 9 with a team of 40 staff. Guthrie is known for fostering critical thinking, engagement, and creativity in problem-solving, while providing students with the skills and knowledge they need to reach their full potential.
What You'll Be Doing
- Teach and support students in a Grade 3/4 split classroom
- Provide engaging and differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Use a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to enhance learning
- Build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Contribute to school initiatives and the broader school community
What You Bring
- Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
- Experience teaching at the elementary level, preferably in combined-grade classrooms
- Knowledge of differentiated instruction and strategies to support diverse learners
- Classroom management that fosters a safe and caring environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Clear Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check
