Schedule: Continental Days (10:00 AM – 10:00 PM)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $18.73/hour
Averaging Agreement: Overtime calculated after 88 hours (AA)

With three full-service hospitals and multiple community-based locations, SHN delivers essential services including emergency care, diagnostic imaging, surgery, and rehabilitation.
Paladin Security is seeking a Full Time Patrol Guard to join our healthcare security team at Scarborough General Hospital. This role plays a critical part in ensuring a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of hospital premises, including parking areas, hallways, patient rooms, entrances, and exits
- Monitor and operate security cameras and alarm systems; report suspicious activity immediately
- Control access points and ensure only authorized individuals enter restricted areas
- Respond quickly and professionally to emergencies such as medical situations, fire alarms, or security threats
- Greet and assist visitors, patients, and hospital staff
- De-escalate conflicts and manage tense situations calmly and professionally
- Accurately document daily activities, incidents, and accidents
- Collaborate with hospital staff and local law enforcement to maintain site safety
- Enforce hospital policies, including visitor and patient protocols
Requirements
Must Have:

Valid Security License for the province of Ontario

Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB-approved provider

COVID-19 vaccination (two doses)

Proof of up-to-date immunization records for:

Mumps
-
Measles
-
Rubella
-
Varicella
-
Two-step Tuberculosis skin test
-
Legally authorized to work in Canada
Nice to Have:
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field
- Knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Criminal Code 494
