Job Summary

Our Sanitation Technicians work under the direction of our fantastic Team Lead and are responsible for completing daily sanitation duties to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the facility - a critical aspect of our operations.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Following task specific procedures with care and accuracy.
• Cleaning of rooms, tools, and other materials.
• Performing in-house laundry duties.
• Effectively communicating with team members and Team Lead to ensure tasks are completed, in a timely manner.
• Documenting completed activities to ensure traceability and compliance with regulations.
• Operate equipment as required (i.e., steamer, vacuum).
• Promptly reporting any deviations from standard operating procedures to your Team Lead.
• Following safe work procedures and reporting hazards and unsafe work conditions to your Team lead, or a Health and Safety Representative.
• Participating in training to be knowledgeable on procedures.
• Following regulatory requirements as per the Cannabis Act and Regulations, as well as GlassHouse Botanics Standard Operating Procedures.
• Supporting and collaborating with other teams as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Must Haves:

• Effective communication skills.
• Willingness to learn.
• Strong history of attendance and reliability.
• Ability to follow verbal and written directions in English.
• Ability to work in a team, and occasionally independently.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work on your feet for most of the day (standing and walking) or sitting for long periods of time.

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Experience in a relevant field, such as sanitation or manufacturing.
• Experience working under EU GMP requirements.
• Experience working in an environment regulated by Health Canada.

Job Specific Demands:

• Willing to wear the provided uniform, and personal protective equipment as needed (i.e., respirator, eye protection, hearing protection).
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Plants like heat and humidity, so based on the position, you may need to be comfortable working in a greenhouse environment.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
