Repair & Warranty Assistant (Co-op)

About the role

Job Summary As a co-op on assisting the Reapir and Warranty team, you help ensure unserviceable aircraft components are repaired efficiently and cost-effectively. Your daily work involves tracking parts sent to third-party repair shops, assisting with reviewing technical teardown reports to file warranty claims, and managing repair data in AMOS ERP system. Additionally, you will play a key role in assisting the RMA team with the core return process, ensuring defective parts are accurately documented and shipped back to vendors in line with contractual commitments.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Warranty Claim Support: Researching component removal histories to determine if a failed part is still covered by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or repair vendor's warranty. You will help draft and submit warranty claims to recover costs.
  • Repair Order Tracking: Assisting in tracking aircraft parts sent out to repair shops. This involves monitoring turnaround times (TAT) and updating expected return dates in the system.
  • Data Management & Reporting: Updating AMOS with quotes, repair statuses, and invoice corrections. You may also help contrubute to Google Sheets dashboards to track orders, vendor performance or warranty recovery totalsVendor Communication: Following up with repair facilities and vendors to get status updates, clarify repair quotes, and push for faster turnaround times on critical parts holding up aircraft.
  • Actively participating in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in a co-op university or college program
  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
