Your Opportunity

As Triton continues to grow, we are seeking highly a motivated and enthusiastic Intermediate Environmental Professional – Assessment and Reclamation to join our established safety‑conscious and people‑first teams in Prince George, BC. This is an exciting opportunity for an intermediate environmental professional who thrives in consulting, wants to grow in assessment and reclamation, and enjoys a combination of fieldwork travel and office-based work. In this role, you’ll manage soil and groundwater assessment programs, mentor junior staff, and support project managers across Triton’s Assessment and Reclamation service line.

Your Impact

  • Leading environmental site assessment, remediation, and reclamation field programs (expect up to 60% of time to be field-based and sometimes in remote locations).

  • Contributing expertise to multi-disciplinary projects.

  • Assisting in writing high-quality reports, cost estimates, and proposals.

  • Liaising with clients, regulators, contractors, and sub-contractors.

  • Leading project teams to ensure the quality, cost, and timeliness of deliverables.

  • Providing mentorship and training for our junior environmental professionals.

  • Ensuring clients’ and Triton’s safety standards are maintained or exceeded.

  • Working collaboratively within Triton’s corporate culture.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Undergraduate degree or diploma (B.Sc.) in soil science, environmental science, earth sciences, or related field.

  • Registered or eligible for future registration with the BC Institute of Agrologists, British Columbia College of Applied Biology, or another relevant professional organization in British Columbia.

  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience in the environmental industry.

  • Knowledge and experience with soil classification and mapping using the Canadian System of Soil Classification.

  • Experience with Phase/Stage 1 and 2 Environmental Site Assessments, soil sampling programs, groundwater monitoring programs, remediation, and reclamation.

  • Experience with regulatory guidelines (e.g., Federal and British Columbia).

  • Knowledge of the BC Agricultural Commission Act and Regulations, including Schedule A and B report guidelines an asset.

  • Detail-oriented with organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative working style.

  • Valid drivers license from a Canadian province or Territory acceptable for driving alone and with passengers in a work setting.

Your Compensation

Wages are commensurate with experience and qualifications, with the approximate wage range being $30 to 45 per hour.

Location, Work Schedule & Flexibility

This role requires a combination of office-based duties and travel to support fieldwork activities.
