About the role
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer to join our growing team. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining both the frontend and backend of our web and mobile applications. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys solving complex problems, and is excited about shaping the future of sports facility management technology.
We’re looking for someone who’s kind, curious, confident, and enthusiastic - someone who can thrive in a startup environment with limited processes, and who can take initiative, adapt quickly, and bring energy to their work. If you’re excited by the idea of being an engineer at a fast-growing startup, we’d love to hear from you!
Your Responsibilities
- Drive end-end projects from problem statement to implementation, taking ownership over everything from business impact to architecture to deployment
- Proactively build reliable and maintainable solutions for Swift’s web and mobile platforms
- Work closely with other team members and customers to iterate on feedback
- Help build a collaborative environment of knowledge-sharing and encouraged feedback
- Lead technical design discussions and facilitate technical decision making
What We Offer:
- A flexible, remote-first work environment.
- The opportunity to drive real impact with a product used by thousands of people every day
- Mentorship and frequent 1-on-1s to support your personal and professional development
- Supportive culture with thoughtfully built out opportunities for connections in a remote first environment
- The chance to be an early member of a fast-growing SaaS startup
- A complete behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to grow an early-staged company, invaluable experience if you’re looking to start your own business one day
- Competitive salary with an employee stock option plan
About You
- You’re confident, energetic, humble, kind, and curious
- Excellent communication skills working with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- 5+ years of professional full stack software development experience
- Entrepreneurial spirit, you’ll be joining the startup early and will have plenty of opportunity to experiment with new technologies, improve process and build our development culture
- Experience in frontend development, with a solid understanding of React and JavaScript
- Proven track record of designing and delivering complex software systems at scale
- Experience leading architectural discussions, influencing cross-team technical decisions, and driving consensus in ambiguous situations
- Strong experience in backend development (Node JS preferred) and relational databases (ex. PostgresSQL)
- Exposure to AI technologies, particularly around LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Claude, etc.). While deep ML expertise is not required, familiarity with integrating or working with modern AI APIs is highly valuable
- A growing passion for driving processes and improving software development productivity for your team
- Experience in the following is a plus: Typescript, AWS, Vercel, Expo, React Native
Don’t check every box? That’s okay. We know great engineers come from all kinds of backgrounds. If you’re an experienced developer, passionate about making sports more accessible and you think you could make an impact, we’d still love to hear from you.
