Salary Range: $32.45 - $38.19 /hour

As an integral part of the Communication and Public Relations team at St. Joseph's Health Care London, the Communication Associate uses their talents for creative storytelling and audience engagement, along with their knowledge of digital communication platforms to contribute to innovative internal and external communication initiatives.

Working closely with our team of communication professionals, the successful candidate will support the execution of strategies that elevate the voices of patients, residents, staff and physicians. They will help bring our mission, vision and values to life using tactics across multiple platforms, with a strong emphasis on digital engagement and implementation.

With an ability to work independently in both in-office and hybrid work environments, the Communication Associate thrives in a collaborative environment with a focus on enhancing the experience of our key stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications

  • Degree/diploma in corporate communication, public relations or journalism program
  • Minimum of two years' experience working in corporate communication/public relations
  • Demonstrated experience in storytelling and content generation for the purpose of developing written and online communications
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting and measuring digital communication including content management systems (e.g. Drupal), SharePoint and relevant social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIN, Instagram)
  • Service-oriented with excellent organization skills and the capacity to work in a busy environment with many customers and a variety of requests/needs
  • Detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in often tight timelines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including editing experience requiring good command of the English language, grammar, spelling and CP style

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a large corporate, health care or non-profit setting
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, InDesign, etc.) an asset
  • Demonstrated experience in multi-media technology and project management
  • Experience and training in Artificial Intelligence use and implementation in digital communication strategy an asset

Teaching and Research

  • St. Joseph's Health Care London through its affiliation with Western University and Fanshawe College is a leading research and teaching hospital. As an employee of St. Joseph's, you will be expected to engage in role related teaching and research activities in addition to any of your clinical duties

Immunization Requirements

  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps rubella, varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, COVID-19 and influenza.
  • Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
