SUMMARY
About the Role – F&B Supervisor
The Food & Beverage Supervisor plays a key role in delivering exceptional service by supporting the day-to-day operations of our hotel’s F&B outlets. This position is responsible for supervising front-line colleagues, ensuring Forbes standards are met, and creating a memorable dining experience for every guest.
Reports To: Assistant Food & Beverage Manager, Joni GM & Writers Room GM
Some of the responsibilities include:
- Create and maintain a positive, respectful, and engaging work environment that reflects Hyatt’s purpose and culture.
- Supervise service across all outlets and shifts, ensuring alignment with Forbes service standards and hotel expectations.
- Conduct pre-shift briefings, assign tasks, and ensure teams are prepared and informed.
- Uphold and model Forbes 5-Star Standards, including:

Using guest names to personalize service and build connection.

Greeting guests promptly and warmly upon arrival with genuine enthusiasm.

Displaying positive and professional body language at all times.

Anticipating guest needs and offering thoughtful, proactive service.

Delivering sincere closing remarks to leave a lasting positive impression.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and presentation of service areas.
- Ensure all opening, handover, and closing checklists are completed thoroughly.
- Foster strong communication between the front-of-house and kitchen teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Respond promptly to guest feedback and service recovery opportunities with professionalism and care.
- Communicate operational needs or concerns to the Assistant F&B Manager or Restaurant/Lounge Manager in a timely manner.
- Support colleague onboarding and ongoing training, ensuring all team members understand service expectations and safety protocols.
- Provide support with administrative tasks and POS updates as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a supervisory role in hotel or restaurant F&B operations.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive, service-driven mindset.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience in a unionized environment is an asset.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
