About the role
We are seeking an Industrial Engineering Logistics Project Manager, reporting to the Industrial Engineering Logistics Team Leader, to assist us in developing manufacturing strategies. As part of your role, you’ll be significantly contributing to the organization's growth.
You'll Have The Opportunity To
- Participate in projects to optimize all of our logistics and material flow processes, from the receipt of merchandise at our warehouse to the delivery of components to the workstation in the plant.
- Carry out project management tasks: project definition, feasibility studies, budgeting, planning, organization, communication and follow-up of activities with different teams.
- Set up structures to optimize material handling tasks, problem-solving, labour calculations, delivery and warehousing strategies.
- Be responsible for plant layout projects that have an impact on logistics (warehousing structure, workspace, area optimization, etc.).
- Design and manufacture of transport carts and/or containers for production-critical parts.
- Development of work tools (dashboard, KPI, etc.).
- Code parts, optimize packaging, maintain supplier contact.
- Support logistics production and OHS initiatives in your area of the plant.
- Work with different departments.
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
- Knowledge of an industrial, mechanical or logistics engineer, or any other relevant equivalent.
- Knowledge of software: AutoCAD, Suite Office (Excel), and SAP. Knowledge of VBA, Catia and Arena would be assets.
- Leadership, good organization, autonomy, meticulousness, innovation, good communication, and a good team player.
- Project management skills.
- Experience in plant and warehouse layout, and in time and motion analysis related to material handling and traffic modelling.
- Professional communication in English and French (written and spoken) is relevant due to our supplier’s location around the world and our interaction with international BRP teams.
