About the Role
The Benefits Administrator is responsible for delivering exceptional client service in the administration and processing of benefit and enrollment changes. The Benefits Administrator is also the expert regarding monthly billing statements and notifications for their associated clients.
This is a hybrid role based out of our Surrey, BC or Barrie, ON offices.
What to Expect in Your First 3 Months
First 30 Days:
- Get oriented in our internal systems, WEBS™ and CRM, and begin building your foundational understanding of each GroupHEALTH benefit and product offering.
First 60 Days:
- Take on administration of the group benefit plan for assigned clients, handle billing errors, and build your ability to keep pace with current SLAs (4-hour email response and 24-hour change report turnaround).
First 90 Days:

Operate independently with a solid understanding of carrier guidelines, demonstrate initiative in learning new skills, and contribute meaningfully to your team's day-to-day billing administration.
What You'll Do
-
Analyze and manage enrollment changes in WEBS™ on a daily basis
-
Identify errors on enrollment changes and work with the client to process any corrections
-
Complete one-on-one training with plan administrators to help them understand how our processes and technology support plan administration
-
Complete daily billing administration tasks as needed
-
Pull billing lists, check current bill holds, and review and correct billing errors to ensure timely bill runs
-
Identify and escalate claims requiring further investigation to the client services lead
-
Identify and escalate concerns from clients, members, and partners to the client services lead, including vendor issues, plan design, or administrative items that may cause dissatisfaction

Contribute to the continuous improvement of business processes

Assist team members with their responsibilities as required

Perform other duties as the organization requires
What We're Looking For
-
1–2 years of experience in claims administration, office administration, insurance, health sciences, or a related field
-
Post-secondary education in an administrative or related field is an asset
-
Experience in the group benefits industry would be considered an asset but is not a requirement
-
Bilingual (French and English) is an asset
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Critical Competencies
You will succeed in this role if you are:

An Administrator – You maintain a high volume of cases, consistently meeting SLA targets including same-day member terminations and follow-ups within 2 business days. You track all client and member communications accurately in CRM and WEBS.

A Client Satisfaction Driver – You influence customer loyalty through effective service, communication, and problem-solving. You consistently achieve high NPS scores by addressing client needs efficiently and use feedback to improve your own service delivery.

A Customer Focus Champion – You are committed to client satisfaction and confidentiality, offering personalized solutions while safeguarding sensitive information. You build long-term relationships by resolving issues proactively and consistently meeting or exceeding client expectations.

A Prioritization and Time Management Expert – You effectively prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance, manage time to meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy and efficiency while working within established SLAs.

A Resourceful Problem-Solver – You leverage tools like KnowledgeHUB, CRM, and Peer Review to resolve client and employee inquiries efficiently. You collaborate with colleagues and carriers, navigate export errors, and stay informed on policy updates and best practices.
Compensation
At the time of this posting, the estimated annual base salary for this position is $50,000-$55,000. Individual compensation within this range is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and education/training. This range reflects the annual base salary only and does not encompass the comprehensive total rewards package that we proudly offer.
