Now hiring! Senior SAP HR Time & Attendance Systems Analyst
Mississauga, ON (Hybrid - 2 days in office, 3 remote)
Annual bonus
We are looking for a Senior SAP HR Time & Attendance Systems Analyst to join our Global Digital Services - Digital Hub Toronto team in Mississauga, ON.
Come create chemistry with us!
At BASF Digital Hub Toronto we develop innovative digital solutions for BASF, create exciting new customer experiences and business growth, and drive efficiencies in processes, helping to strengthen BASF´s position as the digital leader in the chemical industry. We believe the right path is through creativity, trial and error and great people working and learning together. Become part of our team and develop the future with us - in a global team that embraces diversity and equal opportunities.
As a Senior SAP HR Time & Attendance Systems Analyst, you will lead the end‑to‑end design, integration, and support of SAP HR Time Management across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, ensuring accurate time capture for union and non‑union populations and rigorous adherence to regional labor regulations and union agreements. You will serve as the subject‑matter expert for complex scheduling, clocking and non‑clocking solutions, and KABA time clock integrations while partnering with HR, Payroll, and IT to drive compliant, efficient, and data‑reliable operations.
As a Senior SAP HR Time & Attendance Systems Analyst, you create chemistry by...
- Designing and configuring SAP HR Time Management (schemas, PCR/rules, work schedules, time evaluation) for diverse union and non‑union groups across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, aligning solutions to jurisdictional labor requirements and collective bargaining agreements while providing Tier‑3 production support and continuous improvement.
- Developing and maintaining complex work schedules and shift patterns (rotations, premiums, calendars) for mixed populations, standardizing master data and evaluation drivers, and enabling accurate time capture and reporting for both clocking and non‑clocking environments.
- Integrating and supporting KABA time clock systems end‑to‑end—validating data flows and interfaces to SAP, troubleshooting device and interface issues, and planning upgrades and patches to preserve compatibility, performance, and auditability.
- Collaborating with HR, Payroll, and IT to streamline time data processing (interfaces, calculations, retro rules), conducting gap analyses and design workshops, leading unit/integration/UAT testing and defect triage, and delivering end‑user training and documentation for sustainable adoption.
- Ensuring compliance and data integrity by implementing controls that meet regional labor laws, union provisions, and internal policies, supporting internal/external audits with traceable configurations and evidence, and monitoring reconciliations to prevent errors, leakage, and fraud.
- Staying current with SAP updates and industry best practices, evaluating OSS notes, support packs, and enhancement options for R/3 HR Time, and orchestrating change management (release planning, cutover, post‑go‑live stabilization) while mentoring teammates on Time & Attendance standards and patterns.
If you have...
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in SAP HR Time Management, with proven expertise in Time and Attendance configuration for North America (US, Canada, Mexico) and solid understanding of regional labor laws, union contracts, and compliance requirements. Experience with SAP Time Tracking solutions will be a plus.
- Strong knowledge of KABA clocking systems and experience supporting non-clocking environments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex work schedules, including rotating shifts, overtime rules, and union-specific agreements.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and lead cross-functional initiatives. Project management or team leadership experience will be a plus.
- Familiarity with integration tools and middleware (e.g., SAP PI/PO, CPI) will be a plus.
