The Opportunity We are currently seeking a Manager, Stakeholders & Communications to join our Information Technology team in Toronto.
This is a permanent hybrid position . As a Manager, Stakeholders & Communications , you will be responsible for managing and orchestrating all IT-related communication channels within the organization. This role aims to ensure robust stakeholder engagement, facilitate seamless communication across departments, and leverage IT tools to enhance organizational efficiency and productivity.
Additionally, in this position you will:
- Lead and mentor IT professionals, foster collaboration, conduct performance reviews, and provide training to enhance team capabilities.
- Develop and implement communication strategies, engage stakeholders through meetings and reports, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Oversee communication systems, ensure reliability and security, manage updates and patches, and resolve technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with policies and standards, maintain technical and administrative documentation, and conduct audits.
- Utilize and manage tools like Microsoft Teams, Slack, Zoom, CMS, and data analysis platforms; evaluate new technologies and manage licenses.
- Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and system performance; prepare reports and develop contingency plans for communication systems.
About You Education:
- Undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or related field is considered an asset.
- Certifications in relevant communication and IT management tools (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Cisco Certified Network Associate).
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in IT management, with a focus on communication systems.
Skills:
- Experience in developing and executing communication strategies in a large organization.
- Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate a team, including the ability to delegate tasks, provide feedback, and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with emerging communication technologies and trends is considered an asset.
- Experience with data migration and system compatibility assessments is considered an asset.
