As a Personal Support Worker with WeeCare, you will do more than provide medical care according to each client’s care plan. You will offer peace of mind, comfort, and become a trusted extension of the client’s family.
Position
Part-time Personal Support Worker in Milton, ON every Monday 12:00-17:00 (weekly), Friday 09:00-12:00 (every second week) and Sunday 19:00-22:00 (weekly).
General Duties (specific duties may vary based on individual client needs)
- Maintain records and required documentation
- Assist the client with personal care, hygiene, and activities of daily living
- Observe and report on changes in client's condition to guardian and WeeCare
- Assist with ambulation, mobilization, transferring, and adaptive aids
- Demonstrate understanding of client’s needs and maximize abilities
- Provide cognitive, social, emotional, and psychological support to the client/guardian
- Respond to client/guardian concerns and ensure appropriate action is taken
- Assist in maintaining a safe and cleanly environment, including client's equipment and belongings
- Notify supervisor of any concerns impacting client’s safety, incidents, and accidents
- Complete all other tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Graduate of a certified Personal Support Worker program
- Current BLS certification
- Vulnerable Sector Check within the past 6 months
Schedule
- Every Monday & Sunday
- Every second Friday
- 12:00-17:00 (Mon), 09:00-12:00 (Fri) and 19:00-22:00 (Sun)
- Day Shift
- Evening shift
- Weekend shift
- 3 hour shift
- 5 hour shift
Ability to Commute
