About the Opportunity
Parker Huggett is proud to partner with one of Canada’s most established and respected builders, a national construction leader with deep Western Canadian roots and over 200 employees who’ve each built careers spanning 25+ years .
We’re seeking a Chief Estimator to join their Edmonton office , leading a high-performing Estimating Teams that delivers some of the region’s most impactful institutional, commercial and light industrial projects. This is a chance to join a well-established and strong project pursuit team during their next phase of growth that’s decades in the making.
Based in Edmonton , you’ll oversee Northern Alberta Project Pursuits from concept to contract award, mentoring estimators, collaborating with leadership on major pursuits, and driving best-in-class estimating processes. Projects span ICI, Design-Build, CM, and P3 delivery models, with values typically $50M plus.
What You’ll Do
- Lead estimating strategy to achieve performance, schedule, and profitability goals
- Guide bid submissions and ensure constructability, value, and precision
- Build upon lasting relationships with subcontractors, clients, architects and various stakeholders
- Oversee forecasting, tendering, and risk management processes
- Mentor and grow a talented team of estimators in the Edmonton Buildings District
What You Bring
- 15+ years of experience estimating commercial, institutional and light industrial projects ranging in value ($30M - $100M) Not limited to.
- Proven leadership in preconstruction and complex bid environments
- Strong technical and financial acumen; proficiency with modern estimating software
- Strong understanding of Constructability and Leading Clients Through Value Engineering Exercises when required
- Professional credentials (PQS, CET, P.Eng) are considered assets
