About One Voice One Team
One Voice One Team Youth Leadership Organization (OVOT) is a non-profit and federally registered charity founded in 2008. Our mission is empowering youth to utilize their extraordinary leadership skills and talents to make a difference in their lives and the lives of others. We do this by providing character-based leadership programs, workshops, assemblies and community service. With fun physical and cognitive activities, we introduce and emphasize positive values to enable youth to see beyond their circumstances and lead with purpose.
Position Description
We’re seeking a Program Manager / Facilitator, someone who brings both strategic thinking and heart to youth leadership programming. This is a pivotal role for a natural connector and builder — someone ready to lead from the front while developing others to do the same. The Program Manager / Facilitator is both a strategic lead and front-line facilitator. This role bridges leadership, coordination, and delivery — ensuring that programs are designed, executed, and evaluated with excellence.
The right candidate will manage day-to-day programming operations, mentor facilitators, and cultivate relationships with schools, funders, and community partners — while directly inspiring youth through facilitation and storytelling.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Education, Social Sciences, Community Development, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in program management, youth facilitation, or education.
- Proven ability to lead teams, coordinate logistics, and deliver engaging presentations.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Comfort with data tracking, outcome reporting, and Microsoft/Google productivity tools.
- Commitment to being inclusive and leading with a trauma-informed practice lens.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Design
-
Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of OVOT programs, workshops, and school assemblies.
-
Collaborate with the Program Director, Executive Director, and Programming Team to design curriculum rooted Ubuntu principles and the S.W.O.L.E.™ Principles.
-
Ensure alignment with funder deliverables, school needs, and OVOT strategic goals.
-
Adapt programming for diverse audiences, including educators, rural/urban youth and community groups.
Facilitation & Youth Engagement
- Deliver dynamic, engaging, and trauma-informed facilitation for youth ages 10–29.
- Model authenticity, empathy, and leadership in every interaction.
- Coach and mentor emerging facilitators and youth leaders to deliver with impact.
- Gather and share stories of transformation — capturing both qualitative and quantitative impact.
Team Development & Coordination
- Supervise program facilitators and volunteers (including co-op students), supporting growth and accountability.
- Create a positive, empowering team culture through regular coaching and check-ins.
- Manage program schedules, staffing plans, and logistics.
- Lead debriefs after major events to ensure continuous improvement.
Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, boards, community organizations, and funders.
- Represent OVOT at partner meetings, speaking engagements, and community events.
- Support partnership development proposals and reports by providing outcome data and stories.
- Collaborate across departments (Admin, Marketing, Finance) to ensure operational alignment.
Program Evaluation & Reporting
-
Track attendance, satisfaction, and outcomes for all programs.
-
Prepare monthly and quarterly program reports for internal and funder use.
-
Contribute to grant reporting, highlighting program achievements and impact metrics.
-
Identify insights for innovation and growth in programming.
