##Qualifications

MINIMUM FORMAL EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED:

  • University degree with a specialization in quantitative research methods, quantitative data and analyses, with preference for those with a graduate degree (Masters or PhD).

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of four years of experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience providing data analytic services in a professional environment. Intermediate to Advanced level of competency with data analytics software (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau) and database management.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office suite and ability to effectively use MS Excel at an advanced level is required.
  • Competency in data management ensuring confidentiality, security, and data protection using established practices and standards.
  • Experience in survey research including project management, client management, and timeline management, as well as questionnaire design, sample design, and report writing for a non-technical audience.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • Ability to be thorough, accurate, and have a high level of attention to detail when working with and reporting data is required.

  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing is required.

  • Ability to design and build data dashboards reflecting stakeholder needs is required.

  • Ability to compose correspondence, reports, presentations, and other written materials using clear and concise business English is required.

  • Ability to prepare and deliver presentations on complex data to a variety of audiences is required.

  • Ability to plan, organize, manage, monitor and complete projects within allocated time and resources is required.

  • Ability to develop and maintain cooperative and productive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders is required.

  • Ability to exercise tact, discretion and sound judgment and decision-making is required.

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities is required.

##Key responsibilities

Responsibilities:

The Data Intelligence and Reporting Analyst is responsible for:

  • Analyzing and reporting the results of data from medical education programs using dashboards and other statistical software, including assessment data (e.g. exam performance), evaluation data, educational site data, and other data used for decision-making/monitoring program performance.

  • Designing and developing dashboards to effectively report on program performance and promote active use of data by leadership.

  • Designing and implementing a system of learner tracking from admissions to beginning practice to support decision making around educational program design and admissions standards.

  • Analyzing and synthesizing data from large, complex datasets to report on key findings on learner outcomes.

  • Conducting data analyses to support decision-making and evaluate progress towards strategic objectives; assisting the identification of key research and evaluation needs to support strategic planning and decision-making.

  • Providing consultative support services to UGME, PGME, and other administrative units to provide tailored reports and analyses; and supporting units in undertaking survey research.

  • Working with large, complex datasets to analyze, interpret, and report key findings.

  • Establishing and managing relationships with project stakeholders.

  • Conducting literature reviews to ensure data analysis and coding of variables incorporates established standards, theories, and evidence.

  • Completing time-sensitive data requests for use in planning and communications.

  • Troubleshooting issues and responding to inquiries related to assigned work.

  • Contributing to the development and improvement of ISME processes to increase their efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Performing other duties as required to ensure the successful completion of assigned work.

  • Provide information to and/or participate in discussions as required.

  • May be required to perform related duties not exceeding skills and capabilities as required.
