Position Overview:
Power Your Future with Qualus in our T&D business as a Buyer. This position is hybrid, based in our Vancouver, BC office. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this role provides key supply chain management support to Wood project teams. You will work in a collaborative, learning-focused environment, helping to develop multi-discipline supply chain skills while supporting procurement activities across multiple projects.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Procurement team in a collaborative and learning-focused environment
- Develop, update, and maintain procurement plans and distribute plans to Project Managers as required
- Procure equipment under Master Service Agreements and manage material orders through the Client’s SAP system
- Coordinate resolution of material shortages and overages and report on material status in alignment with project schedules
- Facilitate the purchasing of equipment and materials across multiple projects and teams
- Review and attest to vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance
- Manage electronic files and documentation within the company’s file-sharing systems
- Expedite ordered materials and document all shipping and receiving activities to various job sites
Qualifications:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 3–7 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or project coordination
- Proficient in SAP or other ERP systems; strong MS Office skills
- Familiar with electronic document management systems
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive in resolving procurement issues such as shortages and delays
