About the role

Who we are:

Mediafly is the leading revenue enablement platform market-facing teams use to plan, predict, coach, and engage at the highest levels. Our unified suite of solutions create immersive buyer experiences; enable sellers to lead with value, allow managers to scale coaching, and empower leaders to forecast with confidence. In today’s unpredictable market, Mediafly is the key to delivering predictable efficient growth.

The Salesforce Senior Data Architect will thrive in complex, real-world environments—someone equally comfortable with technical archaeology as with greenfield design. You’ll partner with engineering and product to bridge legacy and modern architectures, guiding a transformation that enables AI readiness, advanced analytics, and long-term agility.

What you'll be doing:

    • Strategic Data Roadmapping
    • Develop phased modernization plans that balance risk, cost, and business impact.
    • Align the data strategy with product roadmaps, analytics needs, and AI readiness goals.
    • Quantify modernization impact through clear success metrics.
    • Information Architecture & User Journey:
    • Design the structure, categorization, and navigation of information to align with user workflows and journey stages.
    • Collaborate with UX/PM/Engineers to create cohesive, intuitive experiences that improve findability, task completion, and engagement.
    • Define and maintain logical content hierarchies for rapid access to data, reports, and documentation.
    • Modernization of Complex Data Landscapes:
    • Analyze, document, and rationalize existing large-scale data flows across multiple systems.
    • If necessary, redesign, replatform, or optimize critical pipelines to improve scalability, performance, maintainability, and costs.
    • Create transitional architectures that allow modernization without disrupting current business operations.
    • Optimize existing data models for integration, analytics, semantic search, and AI workflows, including agentic reasoning and generative AI.
    • Partner with product and engineering teams to ensure models support advanced inference, predictive analysis, and performance measurement.
    • Data Quality, Consistency & Governance:
    • Ensure data consistency and transactional integrity across distributed systems.
    • Establish governance policies for data creation, retention, access, and compliance (GDPR, etc.).
    • Inventory and map current data assets to identify duplication, gaps, and optimization opportunities.
    • Advanced Information Modeling:
    • Build taxonomies and ontologies to enable structured search, knowledge representation, and AI-driven reasoning.
    • Support content strategy and lifecycle management to meet evolving AI, analytics, and business needs.

Collaboration & Leadership

    • Work closely with engineering and product leaders to prioritize technical debt reduction alongside feature delivery.

    • Serve as a bridge between data engineering teams and business stakeholders, ensuring shared understanding of constraints and opportunities.

We would love to work with you if you have:

    • 7+ years in data architecture, information architecture, or related roles, preferably in SaaS product environments.
    • Proven success modernizing entrenched, complex data ecosystems.
    • Expertise in AWS/Azure data services and integration with third-party tools.
    • Strong experience with ETL/ELT methodologies in both batch and streaming contexts.
    • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data lake architectures.
    • Familiarity with observability tools and practices for data pipelines.
    • Experience with governance and compliance in multi-system, multi-tenant environments.

Preferred Skills:

    • Background in modernizing data systems while maintaining uptime for high-volume, customer-facing platforms.
    • Familiarity with semantic search, vector databases, knowledge graphs, and AI-driven data consumption patterns.
    • Experience with multiple BI and visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Sigma).
    • Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language used in data processing (Python, Scala, etc.).
    • Experience with integrating multiple source systems, such as Salesforce and custom-developed systems using REST API

Success Will Be Measured By

    • Measurable improvements in pipeline reliability, scalability, and performance.
    • Reduction of technical debt and data duplication across the ecosystem.
    • Smooth, low-risk transitions from legacy architectures to modern platforms.
    • Alignment of data architecture with AI readiness and product strategy.
    • Delivery of a measurable, phased data roadmap aligned to business objectives.
