Job Description
The University of Toronto is seeking a full-time Consultation Liaison Staff Psychiatrist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing psychiatric consultation and liaison services to various departments within the hospital and will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric assessments and consultations to patients in various clinical settings.
- Collaborate with medical and surgical teams to manage psychiatric aspects of patient care.
- Participate in teaching and supervision of medical students and residents.
- Engage in research activities related to consultation-liaison psychiatry.
Required Qualifications
- MD or equivalent degree.
- Certification in Psychiatry from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent.
- Eligibility for licensure in Ontario.
- Strong clinical skills in consultation-liaison psychiatry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a teaching hospital setting.
- Research experience in consultation-liaison psychiatry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Other Relevant Details
- The position is full-time and will require participation in on-call duties as needed.
