About the Position

Position TitleEducation Outreach Program Coordinator

Job Type Full Time, Temporary - 35 hours per week (8 weeks)

Work Location Onsite

Reports to Manager, LINC Program

Summary of Role

This role supports LINC Intake Coordinators in delivering student services, including intake processing, orientation assistance, and ongoing client support for online learning platforms. It also involves providing technical troubleshooting, occasional classroom support, and maintaining accurate waitlists and student records.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Student Intake and Client Support

  • Assist LINC Intake Coordinators with student-related matters
  • Complete intake in TIES’ internal database for newly admitted students and support orientation activities
  • Provide support to clients navigating online classes
  • Troubleshoot minor technical issues with Zoom, MS Teams, and Avenue.ca
  • Assist clients experiencing difficulties with Avenue.ca
  • Occasionally support instructors with PBLA binders, e-portfolios, or classroom instruction during assessments
  • Update waitlists with coordinators and contact students when required to ensure compliance with attendance policies

Resource and Learning Environment Management

  • Organize and maintain the resource room, including shelving and inventory checks
  • Conduct library inventory and remove outdated or damaged books and equipment
  • File or shred outdated documents and organize classrooms, offices, and resource spaces
  • Update bulletin boards and posted materials in classrooms and hallways

Administrative and Operational Support

  • Assist coordinators with daily office tasks and general administrative support
  • Support overall coordination of program activities as needed

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Experience in student support, administrative services, or educational program coordination (LINC or settlement services an asset)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively support students, instructors, and coordinators
  • Ability to provide basic technical troubleshooting support for online learning platforms (e.g., Zoom, MS Teams, Avenue.ca)
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks such as intake, scheduling, and inventory
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office systems
  • Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of employment
  • Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN) at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation
  • International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizen or permanent residents
