Summer Position
Summer Parks Staff gain valuable job experience while directly working in their local
community. We are looking to hire from May to the end of August at full time hours (generally
40 hours/week).
The positions we wish to fill are: General Parks and Recreation Labourers for Mitchell, Grunthal,
Blumenort, Kleefeld, New Bothwell and the RM office.
A labourer would be involved in mowing and trimming municipal properties, garbage cleanup,
and other projects which may include painting and like tasks.
We Are Looking For Candidates With These Qualifications high school graduate
have a valid MB driver’s license (clean driver’s abstract)
reliable transportation to/from work
have a good attitude
physically fit and active
enjoyment of working outside in ALL weather
able to work well with others and take direction
have some or a little yard work experience
have an ability to work with machinery like a mower or yard trimmer
able to read, write, and speak English fluently
able to lift 50 lbs. (23 kg)
The successful applicants will be required to provide a Criminal Records Check and Child Abuse
Registry Check and will be paid according to municipal salary grid and based on qualifications
and experience.
