Sr. IT Release & Support Specialist
About the role
This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto and/or Client office at a minimum 4 days per week - subject to change at any time.
We are seeking a versatile IT Release & Support Specialist who can efficiently handle release management and IT operations tasks, while also contributing to development support and quick maintenance fixes. This is a unique role combining operational excellence, ITIL-based service management, and hands-on development support.
Your future duties and responsibilities
. Manage and coordinate software releases across environments, ensuring timely and smooth deployment.
. Handle IT requests including capacity requests, infrastructure enhancements, and network-related tasks such as firewall changes, IP whitelisting, and access configurations.
. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful completion of IT tasks and changes.
. Utilize ITIL best practices and ServiceNow for incident, change, and service request management.
. Participate in quick development support and maintenance fixes as needed.
. Lead meetings, coordinate discussions, and ensure focus on outcomes and deadlines.
. Communicate effectively with stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Must have Qualifications & Skills:
. Strong understanding of ITIL processes and ServiceNow usage.
. Experience in release management, infrastructure requests, and network configurations.
. Basic understanding of software development and ability to assist in quick fixes.
. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
. Ability to lead meetings, drive tasks to completion, and focus on results.
. Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working in a hybrid operational/development support role.
**CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $85,000–$130,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
