We are currently seeking a committed and motivated team member to join our Manufacturing team as our next Maintenance Technician. In this position, you play a critical role in supporting the success of the Manufacturing department at BGE Indoor Air Quality Solutions. This position is hands on, working alongside Manufacturing team and is a key member of the team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for preventative maintenance of equipment, ensuring operational efficiency, minimizing downtime, and driving process improvements.
The day-to-day activities of our Maintenance Technician include:
- Troubleshooting and Maintaining Equipment – Diagnose and solve technical issues with equipment, while implementing preventative maintenance processes and procedures.
- Commitment to Safety – Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety by maintaining a hazard free work environment for all team members. This involves participating in the health and safety program, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and diligently documenting any incidents or near misses.
- Teamwork – assist with training the Manufacturing team on basic machine care and safe use of equipment and collaborating with team members to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Continuous Improvement - Recommend and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing process. In conjunction with monitoring equipment performance and propose adjustments or upgrades to improve efficiency.
The right candidate should possess the following qualifications on their resume:
- 2+ years of experience in a maintenance or technician role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and methodologies.
- Experience working within safety protocols and OHS requirements.
During the interview process, we will assess the following:
- Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and lift up to 23 Kg (50lbs); and working in various temperatures and/or dusty environments.
- Commitment to continual improvement: Demonstrating curiosity and dedication to solve system or process issues in a collaborative manner.
- Effectively communicate with diverse teams and individuals both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to execute complex projects within budget.
- Safety focused mindset: Understanding and enforcing to all safety protocols and procedures and actively seeking ways to improve safety.

A successful candidate must be able to pass pre-employment drug, cannabis and alcohol tests.
