As the**LTL Night Operations Support,**you will be a key player in our highly effective and emerging Operations team. The LTL Night Operations Support is responsible for having a strong understanding of how the traffic flows in North America within our network and our partner carriers. The LTL Operations Support will be responsible for fostering a strong relationship with all client personnel who require day-to-day service from our company. This individual will see engagement in City Operations, Highway Operations, and Cross-Dock Operations, and requires a dynamic personality as well as organizational agility to be able to stay engaged and drive results across multiple business functions.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Partner carrier relationship management, including communication of pickups and deliveries with all 3rd party partner carriers
  • Tracking of shipments within the network, and providing feedback to both customers and Bison operations
  • Ensuring maximum equipment utilization, including identification of opportunities to better utilize Bison assets
  • Planning of LTL shipments within the Bison network
  • Cross-Dock scheduling & administrative support
  • Cross-Functional coverage for vacation support and capacity management
  • Supporting the Operations Team with special projects (ie. Labelling & Scanning, Process Flow Analysis)

  • Demonstrated problem solving abilities and strong attention to detail
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge of the transportation industry and North American Geography are considered assets
  • The ability to work independently and work effectively as a team player
  • Proficiency with MS Office and the ability to learn complex programs

This position is subject to a Monday to Friday shift, hours of work are from 18:00-03:00 EDT.
