About the Role
The Location Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, operations, and administration of their assigned campus in NW or SW Calgary. This includes ensuring compliance with all governmental and licensing regulations, managing staff and programming, maintaining financial responsibility, and fostering positive relationships with clients, staff, and the broader community. You will play a key role in upholding Summit standards, driving growth, and ensuring an exceptional experience for both staff and families.
Responsibilities
- Understand and adhere to Licensing Regulations, Health Regulations, Summit Kids Policies and Summit Standards
- Understand and implement the details of the Child Care Licensing-approved Program Plan
- Train, mentor, manage & coach all team members who report to you
- Manage staff schedule and labour budget effectively
- Design, plan and submit for approval, age-appropriate programming activities in alignment with Summit Kids’ Programming Framework, adhere to assigned budget
- Create a safe, happy, and fun learning environment for our children
- Take pride in being part of our Summit family. Be a brand ambassador and be accountable. You are the face of our company to the families and to the community at large.
- Engage & build positive & respectful relationships with our staff, families and the community by creating trust and always acting with integrity.
- Promote and represent the campus through external engagement within the community
Requirements
- Clear & Valid criminal record check with vulnerable sector obtained within the past 6 months
- Must hold a valid Alberta ECE Level 2 or 3 certification
- Valid Standard First Aid with level B or C Certification (don't worry we'll hook you up!)
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills (English)
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with our multicultural family at Summit.
- Previous management experience is preferred.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize responsibilities
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Positive, professional, and approachable leadership style
