About the role

About Myers

Myers Automotive Group is all about community. In Ottawa and Eastern Ontario, the people on our team are your friends and neighbours. Our kids go to school together, play sports together, and succeed together. We sit on parents’ councils, volunteer alongside you, and work to make good things happen. We sponsor local teams and charitable events because we are part of the communities we serve.

We stand behind a solid reputation built the “hard way”: by earning trust one relationship at a time, generation after generation. From our founder to Hank Mews in 1975, and then to his sons Harry and Rob in 2003, each leader of Myers Automotive Group has shown an unwavering commitment to the communities we call home. That dedication has fueled our growth into a family-owned automotive group with 18 dealerships and 3 CARSTAR collision centres, employing over 1,100 team members across Eastern Ontario.

As we proudly expand into Kingston, our values remain the same—local roots, meaningful relationships, and a long-term commitment to the people we serve.

Come join our team.

We are looking for energetic and motivated individuals to join our team. This is a part time Business Development Service Representative position working at least 20 hours a week. The representative will also be called in to cover when a full-time member is sick or scheduled off.

The BDC Service Representative responds to customer internet and telephone inquiries to help ensure the dealerships reach maximum profit potential on every service opportunity. The representative will also be given a bonus (per-appointment, per-special, etc).

What you will do:

  • Fielding all incoming calls generated from internet and traditional advertising.
  • Securing and setting service appointments and executing pro-active outbound marketing campaigns from the dealers’ database.
  • Handling all internet service inquiries personally and managing high volume of email and telephone contacts.

The individual must be self-motivated, have a professional personal appearance and excellent communication skills, and an ability to multi-task. This position requires the BDC Service Representative to be on the phone and computer all day. Previous experience in call centres or customer service would be a huge plus. Bilingualism is considered an asset, but not required. Ongoing training will be provided.

The working environment is an open area overlooking our showroom in a comfortable natural light setting. An on-site cafe is also available providing home-cooked meals from breakfasts, lunch and dinners. Complete management involvement and support is provided along with a comprehensive medical/dental program.

Please note: In addition to the base salary, Myers proudly offers its employees a comprehensive and competitive total rewards package that features:

  • career mobility
  • flexible benefits
  • paid leaves
  • good work/life balance
  • robust health & well-being initiatives
  • and on-going training.

Don't check off every single bullet point? At Myers, we prioritize the right fit for our organization over a strict checklist of criteria. We encourage applications from individuals whose backgrounds may not perfectly align.

Compensation: Our compensation is an approximate range and reflects many factors including sales and customer satisfaction. Job offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed based upon geographic location, dealership brand, candidate experience and expertise as it relates to the position, and other relevant factors.
