We are looking for a Process Engineer who can elevate workflow efficiency, optimize ERP use across the business, and support a moder and progressive manufacturing culture. This role blends hands on process engineering with systems thinking, data integrity, and cross functional collaboration to improve how work flows through the entire plant.
Your Impact:
The Process Engineer plays a crucial role in improving operations through smart process design, data driven decision making, and continuous improvement. This role works closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Scheduling, and Leadership to standardize workflows, enhance ERP accuracy, reduce waste, improve throughput, and support a safe and efficient plant environment.

Primary Areas of Influence:
1. Process Analysis & Optimization:
- Map, analyze, and evaluate production workflows to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and waste.
- Develop and implement improvements using Lean, Sis Sigma, and continuous improvement principles.
- Standardize work methods, documentation, and workflows for consistent and scalable operations.
- Collaborate with production leads to improve workstation design, material flow, and plant layout.
2. ERP Systems, Data, and Performance Management:
- Lead ERP setup, configuration, and continuous improvement to ensure accurate data, efficient workflows, and consistent use across departments.
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Scheduling to define ERP requirements, standardize routing, BOMs, costing, and reporting.
- Develop ERP driven dashboards and tools to improve visibility into performance, scheduling, and resource utilization.
- Define, track, and maintain KPIs for productivity, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Implement data validation methods to ensure accuracy and integrity in all reported metrics.
- Prepare and present performance reports that highlight trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Provide training and support to team members on ERP processes and best practices.
Production & Performance Improvement:
- Monitor KPIs including throughput, yield, labour efficiency, downtime, and workflow stability.
- Lead root cause investigations and guide corrective and preventative actions.
- Support automation opportunities, equipment evaluations, and adoption of new technologies.
- Develop process control plans and ensure process consistency across shifts and product types.
3. Cross Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Production to improve manufacturability and process capability.
- Work with scheduling, and ERP teams to strengthen data accuracy, planning flow, and material movement.
- Support new product introductions and engineering changes by defining and validating production processes.
4. Documentation & Training:
- Create, update, and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and process documents.
- Train production staff on standardized processes, workflows, safety expectations, and quality requirements.
- Promote continuous improvement by encouraging idea sharing, problem solving, and cross team communication.
5. Collaboration & Team Influence:
- Build strong working relationships with supervisors, leads, and production staff to support a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Work closely with IT and scheduling teams to improve data-driven planning, material flow, and resource utilization.
- Contribute to a culture where team members feel supported, informed, and confident in their roles.
- Help develop practical training tools and clear, easy to follow documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in process engineering, workflow analysis, or operational efficiency.
- Proven experience with ERP use, optimization, and implementation in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or operational excellence.
Key Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills supported by data driven decision making.
- Experience with time studies, process mapping, workflow analysis, and efficiency improvement.
- Proficiency with ERP or MRP systems such as JobBOSS, Epicor, or SAP.
- Experience implementing tracking systems and visual management tools such as Excel, Power Bi, and ERP dashboards to monitor performance trends and drive accountability.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across all levels.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, quality systems, and EHS practices is an asset.
