What you’ll be doing
As a Consultant, Health & Safety, you will support the Health & Safety Team by providing operational support and consulting with business partners on day-to-day program matters. In addition, assist with ongoing program enhancement, continuous improvement and special projects.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How you’ll succeed
- Correspondence and consulting – Monitor the Health & Safety Mailbox and respond to inquiries or requests for consultation on health and safety matters by providing professional and sound advice with established response timelines. Receive, reconcile and accurately process WCB correspondence, Workplace Injury/Illness Program (WIIP) enrollment and claims and other documents related to the WIIP, and consult with impacted employees, external vendors, and/or Corporate Medical Director.
- Incident reporting and analysis – Review and process workplace incident reports, liaise with people leaders and employees, set required actions for third party vendors, prepare the appropriate correspondence as required. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reporting, and as needed, conduct research, analyze findings and provide recommendations.
- Record retention – Maintain and manage WIIP related information to ensure compliance with CIBC’s record retention policies. Apply discretion and confidentiality when dealing with personal information of a sensitive nature.
- Process improvement – Identify continuous improvement opportunities to create program efficiencies and ensure high level of quality in all deliverables, processes and procedures. Assist in the implementation of program enhancements.
