As an Accountant at Steele Honda, you’ll play a key role in keeping our financial records accurate, reconciling accounts, and supporting a variety of financial processes that keep the dealership running smoothly. This role is perfect for someone with a keen eye for detail, some accounting experience, and exceptional organizational skills. You’ll work closely with our department managers to ensure transactions are accurate, questions are answered, and our financial operations stay on track: making a direct impact on the success of our dealership.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate across departments to ensure smooth communication and accurate transaction posting and reconciliations.
- Manage inventory and implement quality control procedures to ensure accurate stock tracking and reporting.
- Support the Controller and accounting team by assisting with various accounting tasks, including financial reporting and record maintenance.
- Process and report vehicle transactions (car deals) accurately and efficiently.
- Oversee accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection and accurate account balancing
- Assist the Controller with additional tasks as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency of the finance department.
Requirements:
- Accounting Diploma or a related field, with a solid understanding of accounting principles.
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in an accounting role, demonstrating proficiency in various accounting functions.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word), with a particular emphasis on Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with computerized accounting systems is considered an asset.
