About the role
Kootenay-Columbia School District (No. 20) is looking for casual employees for the On‑Call List for Inclusion Support Employees (Education Assistants, Child Care Workers, and Child and Youth Care Workers) for the 2026-2027 school year. Casual staff can expect to work 3 to 5 days a week; however, casual work cannot be guaranteed. Individuals looking to work in a rewarding team environment across our School District (Rossland, Trail, Fruitvale, Castlegar, Robson), with the likelihood of attaining a permanent position in the future, should apply!
Qualifications
- Completion of an Education Assistant one-year certificate program, which includes a practicum, or equivalent combination of education, recent training, and experience.
Job Details
- Rate of Pay: Ranges from $30.60/hr + 13.4% in lieu of benefits = $34.70/hr to $32.12/hr + 13.4% in lieu of benefits = $36.42/hr
- Inclusion Support Employees have winter break, spring break, and summer off!
