Role Summary:
We are seeking an HSE Advisor to join our site-based operations team in Calgary. This role is responsible for supporting, monitoring, and improving health, safety, and environmental practices across industrial job sites in Southern Alberta, ensuring compliance with company, client, and provincial regulations. The position involves approximately 50% travel to PTW sites and requires a proactive, field-focused safety professional with strong OH&S experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and implement site-specific safety plans and ensure ongoing compliance across Southern Alberta
- Travel approximately 50% of the time to PTW project sites
- Monitor adherence to PTW safety programs, client requirements, and provincial OH&S regulations
- Facilitate and participate in daily toolbox talks and site safety meetings
- Support, mentor, and advise site teams on HSE policies, procedures, and best practices
- Conduct and verify completion of hazard assessments, ensuring corrective actions are tracked and closed out
- Verify employees have required training, certifications, and PPE prior to work activities
- Prepare, maintain, and submit required HSE documentation and reporting in a timely manner
- Collaborate with site leadership and HSE teams to strengthen safety performance and culture
Qualifications / Requirements:
- CRSP or CRST designation (or actively working toward designation preferred)
- OH&S experience, preferably in electrical or instrumentation construction environments
- Valid safety certifications H2S, First Aid, CSO, CSTS
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Valid driver’s license required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a field environment
- Self-motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented
