Gastops’ products and services add value throughout the life cycle of complex critical equipment from the design stage through to in-service operations and support. We design, manufacture, and support advanced equipment sensing and analysis products, including on-line oil debris sensors, torque measurement sensors, turbine blade health sensors, and at-line oil analysis systems.
The Director of Business Development will report directly to the Vice President of the Business Unit. This role carries broad responsibilities, with a primary mandate to drive the sustained growth and expansion of our Aerospace OEM business. The successful candidate will be entrusted with shaping strategic sales initiatives, strengthening customer relationships, and advancing market opportunities that align with the long-term vision of the organization.
What You’ll Do:
The Director of Business Development will be part of the Aerospace Platforms team with the primary focus of building strong customer relationships to better understand customer needs and promote our products, services and solutions. In this role, you will;
- Develop strong industry networks and relationships, building trust with various stakeholders within the European OEM aerospace market
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of industry and customer needs relevant to current and future Gastops products, services and solutions
- Maintain a strong technical understanding of Gastops’ solutions for strong and effective communication to current/potential customers
- Develop, communicate, and execute capture plans and win strategies for target opportunities
- Develop partnering and commercial strategies to enable Commercial and Military Aerospace OEM platform wins
- Lead multi-functional teams to capture major opportunities for Gastops by leveraging resources across the organization (from identification through bid management, proposal development, negotiation, acceptance, and handover to operations for execution)
- Identify, define, develop and maintain a pipeline of active opportunities providing timely and accurate forecasting information
- Attend industry events, tradeshows and conferences
- Spend roughly 25% of your time travelling globally meeting new and existing customers

What You Bring:
The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree with at least 10 years of demonstrated success in technical aerospace business development, specifically in selling complex solutions to aerospace OEMs. Additionally, you should have;
- High motivation with results-oriented focus.
- Proven track record of developing and growing business with major aerospace OEMs, including long-cycle sales and contract negotiations.
- Proven track record in relationship-based sales.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing executive-level audiences and technical teams alike. (fluency in English and French is an asset).
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, program management, and operations to deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Positive attitude that promotes positive energy within the team.
- Adaptable to unexpected situations.
- Eligible to obtain a Security Clearance (NATO Level Clearance/ ITAR) shortly after hiring.
