POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Client Support Coordinator, you deliver high‑quality client service while providing essential administrative and operational support to your team. Your work contributes directly to the success of Canadian entrepreneurs by helping identify financing opportunities and ensuring smooth coordination of client and internal activities. At BDC—the only bank dedicated exclusively to Canadian entrepreneurs—you can be yourself at work while supporting the growth of small and medium‑sized businesses across Canada.
CHALLENGES TO BE MET
In this role, you will support both client‑facing and internal activities in a fast‑paced environment while contributing to BDC’s mission of supporting Canadian entrepreneurs. In a typical week, you will:
- Participate in the development and management of a client portfolio by analyzing information to identify financing opportunities and propose value‑added solutions aligned with client needs.
- Support marketing initiatives by organizing events, campaigns, and promotional activities, including preparing marketing communications and providing on‑site logistical support.
- Manage multiple administrative and coordination projects simultaneously to support internal teams and initiatives.
- Prepare client correspondence, proposals, and/or contracts in accordance with established processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely follow‑up.
- Maintain business relationships with external organizations and support the promotion of BDC’s financing services with influencers and prospective clients.
- Perform pre‑qualification and risk‑rating activities for financing clients and prospects, including conducting initial client interviews and gathering required financial information.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field
- Experience in a customer service role
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to take initiative and identify potential sales or financing opportunities
- Ability to adapt to different situations and changing priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to think concisely and analyze information effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in banking or financial services
- Knowledge of financing, credit, or risk‑rating processes
- Experience supporting marketing initiatives or events
- Bilingualism in French and English
