Safran Landing Systems is a subsidiary of Safran Landing Systems, a global leader in landing and braking systems for aircraft. The Mirabel plant is dedicated to the manufacturing of major components for landing gear for the Airbus A320, A330, and A350 models, as well as the Boeing 787. It features state-of-the-art equipment for machining, polishing, and special processes, including heat treatment, shot peening, and surface treatments.
The Responsibilities Are As Follows
- Provide technical support to production teams
- Address Non-Conformities by investigating and analyzing information to determine root causes, assessing the status of the part, preparing contingency plans, and establishing and implementing necessary corrective actions
- Analyze measurement data of parts and the industrial network to find solutions to various manufacturing technical issues
- Conduct FMEAs (Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis) to identify risks and implement actions to prevent problems
- Define manufacturing methods, inspection points, and means, and prepare technical documents from engineering design models to ensure compliance with customer specifications
- Participate in the continuous improvement of the product and manufacturing processes
Let's Talk About You
- College or university degree in mechanical engineering, aeronautical engineering, or another relevant discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in machining methods
- Knowledge of the manufacturing process and machining of aerospace parts
- Knowledge of metrology and dimensional control methods
- Mastery of quality management principles
- Knowledge of statistics (Capability, CPK, etc.)
- Familiarity with FMEA methodology
- Proficiency in CAD software (preferably Catia V5)
- Knowledge of technical data management systems (preferably PDM, Smarteam, 3DExperience)
- Excellent knowledge of the MS Office 365 suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
- Bilingual in French/English, both spoken and written
The person we are looking for enjoys hands-on contact and knows how to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team to solve technical problems. They will be recognized for their analytical mindset and rigor, able to adapt to an increasingly digital environment and will help their team improve manufacturing methods.
