You will lead the production operations in the Plant and delivering key performance targets (SQCDSM) in safety, quality, productivity, volumes, cost, sustainability, organizational morale. You will ensure our manufacturing strategy is implemented and is fully effective and you will strive to build a high performing organization.

How you will contribute

You will:

  • Manages change/ transformation change/ transformation amongst the Operating teams in the implementation of IL6S-Integrated Lean 6 sigma phase journey, FoF-Factory of Future Line centric organization & roles (AM-Autonomous Maintenance, PM-Progressive Maintenance and an integrated 6 star model within operating Line teams) to progress into Self sufficient teams. Role models Values and principles through effective coaching, mentoring and development of the team.
  • Support the Manufacturing annual operational plans and targets to meet Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability, Engagement goals in line with the site Compelling business need. coach Line Leaders, cascade & communicate the plans and targets to employees to ensure alignment and understanding around priorities, focus and KPI’s.
  • Lead and be Accountable to establish a strong Governance to Review, Control Operational performance and Continuous Improvement plan and embed a zero loss mindset to constantly improve and deliver against best in class both internally and externally. Drive the Operating team to identify and manage improvements to technology, culture, capability and operating systems to deliver a best practice and reliable operation.
  • Support all Manufacturing standards, Governance, Compliance requirements (e.g. Corporate Quality, Food safety & GMP, Health, Safety, Security, Environment, Sustainability, Code of conduct, Policies & principles, Operational standards, Local legal requirements, Internal Audit norms, & other procedures updated from time to time) are in place, understood by all, and is regularly reviewed and monitored for effective implementation.
  • Lead and be Accountable for Talent, Capabilities & Engagement for the Manufacturing team - identify and implement critical levers to attract, retain & develop critical talent and builds capability at all levels, technical and behavioral, to build a sustainable workforce profile for the future. Partner effectively with all multi-functional peers internally & externally (outside the plant) to achieve objectives, goals and KPI’s.

  • An Engineer with a strong financial & business acumen, project management skills and Knowledge of industrial maintenance and manufacturing equipment.

-Role Summary

The Supervisor Shipper/Receiver is a highly versatile and critical role responsible for managing the comprehensive flow of materials within our facility. This includes all aspects of inbound receiving, meticulous inventory management, efficient material handling, and accurate outbound shipping. The successful candidate will ensure operational excellence, strict adherence to safety and quality standards, and contribute to continuous improvement across all warehouse functions.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Verify all incoming shipments of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods against Bills of Lading (BOLs) and Purchase Orders (POs) for accuracy in quantity, delivery date, and specifications.
  • Authorize the appropriate disposition of received goods and generate precise receiving documentation and reports.
  • Safely offload and stage inbound materials using various PIVs and manual handling equipment.
  • Monitor and manage the unloading and delivery of bulk raw materials (e.g., glucose, glycerin, sucrose) to designated storage tanks, ensuring proper inventory control and coordinating quality assurance sampling.
  • Distribute non-inventoried items directly to their respective departments.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records and filing systems for all purchase orders, receiving transactions, external storage documentation, and material returns.
  • Prepare, pick, and consolidate finished products for outbound shipment, ensuring adherence to customer orders, packaging specifications, and loading procedures.
  • Operate automated equipment, including auto-palletizers, for efficient processing and staging of finished goods.
  • Load and secure outbound shipments onto trailers, including rejected or unfinished goods, and complete all required shipping documentation.
  • Arrange and process courier shipments for various departments, ensuring proper documentation for efficient and accurate delivery.
  • Maintain accurate truck logbooks and coordinate the pick-up of empty pallets and other recyclable/waste streams.
  • Strictly adhere to all company safety rules, practices, and procedures, actively identifying and reporting potential hazards to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of housekeeping, organization, and security throughout all warehouse, receiving, and shipping areas.
  • Operate all equipment and work centers safely and efficiently, consistently striving to achieve or exceed standard output and quality requirements.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean principles, 5S), contributing to process optimization, waste reduction, and problem-solving efforts.
  • Communicate any deviations from standard operating procedures, equipment malfunctions, or operational issues to supervisors promptly.
  • Any other duties assigned.

  • Perform all other duties as directed by warehouse manager.

Education / Experience / Training Required:

  • Minimum high school diploma required
  • Ability to learn and apply additional training such as IL6S concepts and Quality Suites.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience operating forklifts and other powered industrial vehicles in a fast-paced warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience spanning receiving, shipping, inventory control, and general material handling functions.
  • Familiarity with general manufacturing operations and inventory management systems (WMS/ERP).

Skillsets

  • Must have mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and perform running adjustments to equipment/product to ensure optimum quality and output.
  • Must be able to use a pump truck/walkie
  • Ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions
  • Ability to complete batch paperwork and reference variance reports.
  • Must be flexible to ensure continuous running – may be required to start up and shut down different machines throughout a shift
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 kilograms of materials/cases on a regular basis throughout shift.
  • Ability to operate PIV equipment

The expected annualized salary range for this position is $50,669.00 to $69,296.00 CAD depending on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible to participate in a highly competitive bonus program with a target of 5% with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results, and potential shift premiums and / or overtime.
