Location: Innisfail, Alberta
Bilton Welding and Manufacturing Ltd. is hiring an experienced Quality Control Supervisor to lead our QC team and uphold the highest standards of ASME, CWB, ABSA, and client compliance. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the QC team, ensuring consistent application of quality standards
- Oversee inspections throughout all production stages to ensure compliance with codes, drawings, and specifications
- Ensure welding compliance, including WPS, PQRs, and welder qualifications
- Manage quality issues, including NCRs, corrective actions, and production holds if required
- Coordinate and review NDE activities, including contractor oversight and results interpretation
- Maintain documentation and traceability, including MTRs, inspection records, and technical packages
- Support audits and regulatory compliance, including ABSA, ASME, and client inspections
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes
- Drive team performance and development through training, mentorship, and leadership
- Promote safety and continuous improvement within the quality and manufacturing environment
Qualifications/Requirements:
- CWB Level 2 or 3 Certification (required)
- Welding Examiner certification (required or in progress is considered an asset)
- Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Assurance, or related discipline
- 8+ years of progressive QA/QC experience, including 1–3 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of ASME, CWB, ABSA, and fabrication codes and practices
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop a quality team
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, P&IDs, and weld symbols
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
