Job Role: Senior Cloud Network Engineer Job Location: Onsite- Brampton, Ontario, Canada Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Network Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing secure network and cloud environments, primarily in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure. You will collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to assess, plan, and deploy security and infrastructure solutions that protect enterprise assets and ensure the availability and integrity of critical systems and data.
In this role, you will Cloud Infrastructure Design & Management
- Design, build, and manage cloud infrastructures in Azure and Google Cloud.
- Develop architecture for new infrastructure builds and re-architect existing environments.
- Implement Hub-and-Spoke VNET models in Azure, including Load Balancers and Palo Alto Firewall VMs using Terraform.
- Deploy Virtual Network Gateways and VPN solutions in Azure using Terraform.
Network & Security Operations
- Manage Palo Alto firewalls across multiple locations using Panorama.
- Administer FortiGate firewalls via FortiManager.
- Configure IPSEC Site-to-Site VPNs for external client connectivity.
- Build and maintain firewall policies and configurations based on customer requirements.
Traffic Management & Load Balancing
- Operate and troubleshoot BIG-IP F5 LTMs and GTMs, including GSLB, Pools, VIPs, SNAT, Profiles, and SSL certificate management.
DNS & IP Management
- Manage BlueCat for DNS record creation, IP address management, and DHCP services.
Knowledge Management & Collaboration
- Review existing KB solutions and identify gaps based on customer and support team feedback.
- Provide regular input to improve knowledge content and documentation.
What You’ll Need To Succeed (required Skills)
- Google Cloud Expertise (Mandatory):
VPC, VPC Peering, DNS Peering, Cloud Routers, Interconnects, Google Load Balancers.
- Azure Cloud Expertise (Mandatory):
VNET, VNET Peering, Load Balancers, UDR, VM Scale Sets, Palo Alto VM deployment, Virtual Network Gateway, ExpressRoute, VPN solutions, Private Link Service, Private Endpoints, Private DNS.
- Firewall Management (Mandatory):
Palo Alto (Panorama) and FortiGate (Forti Manager).
- Infrastructure Automation & DevOps:
Experience with Terraform and GitLab for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and change management processes.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
Ability to gather customer requirements and implement changes in accordance with change control procedures.
Preferred skills: what will help you stand out
- Relevant certifications in GCP, Azure, Palo Alto, or F5 technologies.
- Experience in enterprise-scale cloud migrations and hybrid network designs.
- Exposure to DNS and IPAM tools like BlueCat.
