The Market Research team is comprised of a group of associates that are passionate about customer experiences, are invested in understanding human behaviour, and are dedicated to delivering a best-in-class reward program to Collectors and our business Partners. With AIR MILES’ commitment to data-driven decision making, your work will be used to inform strategic decisions involving the program and customer experiences.
The Senior Analyst, Market Research role at AIR MILES is equivalent to a Market Research Manager at a research supplier. As part of the Market Research team, you will lead a variety of quantitative research projects from end to end, to support our marketing, rewards, and strategic partnerships teams. Majority of research is done in house, allowing you to lead and execute Market Research projects from start to finish within in a client-side environment. You will be working collaboratively with stakeholders across the organization, integrating research insights with other data sources, such as user experience research, transactional data and social monitoring, to provide a holistic view of the customer and their experiences.

- The research you execute will directly inform and support data-driven strategic decision making.
- You will be a subject matter expert on survey based quantitative research solutions and how to extract insights from the research data.
- You will create thoughtful research reports, leveraging storytelling strategies to link insights to objectives.
- You will have the opportunity to develop new and better ways of working so your time can be spent focusing on producing meaningful and actionable insights.
- You will act as a research subject matter expert in a consultative role to support BMO’s research initiatives as needed
Let’s Talk About You:
- Passionate about the customer experience and the company you work for.
- Minimum 3-5 years of related work experience executing quantitative market research.
- Post-secondary Certificate/Degree in Market Research, Economics, Psychology, Social Sciences, Consumer Behaviour, or related field.
- Experience executing survey-based research projects with minimal involvement from your manager (including proposal design, sample plans, questionnaire design, checking and weighting data, reporting, deriving relevant and actionable insights, presenting insights).
- A desire to work smarter not harder, and open to new ways of working.
- Experience with Qualtrics or related surveying software an asset
- Experience with panel management an asset
- Soft skills: pragmatic, efficient, pro-active, open to feedback, process oriented, curious, thoughtful, supportive teammate, communicative
- French an asset
Major Responsibilities as a Senior Analyst
- Project design (25%) : Independently creates research proposals based on provided business objectives, designs quantitative surveys, creates a sampling specs (Manger to provide feedback and approve proposed design)
- Project Management (25%) : Independently checks survey links, monitors field work, verifies data, and manages project timelines. Responsible for a portion of the tracking research portfolio.
- Reporting/Insights Generation (35%) : Independently creates tab and reporting plans, creates tables, codes and weights research data, storytelling, and generates relevant and actionable insights that address the stakeholder business objectives (Manger to provide feedback and approve proposed deliverables)
- Presentation (5%): Independently presents results to internal stakeholders
- Panel Management (5%): Manages panel of Collectors and is primarily responsible for quick research pieces leveraging the panel.
- Other responsibilities (5%): Identifying operational efficiencies, invoicing, documentation, consulting on BMO research, etc.
Salary**:**
$56,000.00 - $103,500.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents AIR MILES’ expected target for the first year in this position.
AIR MILES’ total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
