JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the General Manager, the Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in planning and executing marketing activities for iGuzzini / Sistemalux. The role focuses primarily on organizing events and attending trade shows, while leveraging strong graphic design skills to support the company’s communications and visual initiatives.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, creative, and proficient with graphic design tools to deliver high-level marketing events and materials.
Main Responsibilities
Events & Trade Shows (60% of the role)
- Coordinate the organization of marketing events: trade shows, product launches, market development trips.
- Plan, execute, and manage full event follow-up (concept, logistics, budget, post-mortem).
- Handle quotes and relationships with suppliers (venues, equipment, furniture, printing, etc.).
- Develop creative concepts and memorable experiences to strengthen brand presence in North America.
- Coordinate and participate in internal and external corporate events.
Graphic Design & Communications (30% of the role)
- Design and adapt marketing materials: presentations, catalogs, invitations, event signage, web and social media visuals.
- Develop visual content (photo, video, simple animations) for marketing campaigns.
- Contribute to the creation and sending of bilingual newsletters.
- Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to ensure visual consistency and strong communication impact.
Other Responsibilities (10% of the role)
- Update and optimize web content (text, images, structure).
- Maintain and enrich the CRM contact database.
- Manage sample requests and promotional items for the sales team.
- Perform any other related task in marketing, communications, or design.
Profile Sought
Education
- University degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, public relations, or related field.
Requirements
- Perfect bilingualism (French and English), spoken and written.
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Proficient with graphic design tools (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally involving event/trade show coordination.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Creativity, autonomy, and strong initiative.
- Knowledge of web platforms (CMS like Squarespace, Optimizely) and basic SEO: an asset.
- Knowledge of the lighting industry: an asset.
