Senior Manager, Provider Services Strategy - Express Scripts Canada
About the role
Reporting to the Senior Director, Provider Services this role is responsible for shaping and driving our business unit strategy, translating strategic vision into clear, actionable plans that solve complex business problems, through innovative solutions and enhance operational efficiency and deliver measurable value. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop strategic roadmaps and lead initiatives that improve performance and scalability. A key part of the role involves effectively communicating the strategy, progress, and outcomes to internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and engagement. The ideal candidate has a strong background in strategy and business leadership, preferably within healthcare or PBM, and excels at uniting teams around a common vision through data-driven insights and collaborative leadership.
Work Location: Mississauga Head Office
Working environment: Hybrid, 2 days a week
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development
Lead the development and continuous refinement of the Business Unit’s strategy, ensuring alignment with overall organizational objectives and market conditions.
- Sharing the Vision
Translate strategic goals into clear, compelling narratives that effectively communicate value and progress to all stakeholders.
- Driving Key Initiatives
Collaborate with various teams to prioritize and implement key initiatives that improve our operations and help us grow efficiently with an emphasis on measurable outcomes.
- Stakeholder Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders by delivering clear, data-informed updates on strategy and results that build trust and alignment.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
Ensure effective collaboration across various stakeholder groups internal and external to ensure our plans turn into successful actions.
- Market and Competitive Analysis
Conduct ongoing market and competitive research to inform strategic decisions, identifying emerging opportunities and potential risks.
- Change Management
Lead change management activities related to new strategies and processes, including training, communication, and facilitating adoption across teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategy development, business operations, or a related leadership role within healthcare or PBM.

- Strong strategic thinking and vision-setting capabilities with the ability to initiate strategic analysis, synthesize results and provide actionable recommendations
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to create compelling visuals and influential messages appropriate for the audience.
